Our Advantage

Founded on the premise of the cooperative movement, credit unions make low-cost financial services available to ordinary citizens, improving the health and stability of the communities they serve. In fact, nearly 100 million Americans trust their credit union to provide services to improve their financial wellbeing. Jackson County 1st Credit Union has a 70 year legacy of serving the local Jackson County community through People, Principles, and Purpose that reflect and resonate with our members.

Studies show that credit unions on average provide the best financial offerings with fewer fees, lower rates on loans, and higher rates on savings, and consistently score higher than all other financial institutions in consumer satisfaction surveys.

Our credit union is 100% focused on serving people who live and work in Jackson County, and it would be an honor to serve you as a member.

Notice to Members

To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.

What this means for you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver's license or other identifying documents.

In addition to our legal requirement to verify your identity, our internal policies and procedures are focused on preventing identity theft and fraud.
